Brittany Wayson

Coming from sunny Tampa, Florida, Brittany Wayson’s love for animals blossomed. Inspired by her grandmother, a Vet Tech, and fueled by a school research project in the 8th grade, Brittany embarked on a journey into veterinary medicine. From a receptionist in a General Practice to a Medical Oncology Technician, she found her passion in caring for animals, highlighted by heartwarming memories like daily hugs from her black lab, Jake, and the transformation of a fearful Boxer patient.

Brittany earned her associate degree in veterinary medicine from Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, reading and outdoor adventures with her two cats (Alice a Tortoiseshell and Figaro a Tuxedo), and her Jack Russell/Dachshund mix named Eugene.

With 8 years of experience spanning in General practice, Oncology, and Emergency Care, Brittany’s dedication and compassion shine through every aspect of her work, making her a beloved member of the UrgentVet community. Brittany leads a team that treats minor injuries and illnesses in cats and dogs located in the West Orlando area.
