Autashea Coleman

Autashea Coleman, a native of the Gastonia/Charlotte region, found her purpose and passion for animals at a young age. Shadowing veterinarians in middle school led her to graduating from THE Tuskegee University, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, and joining the United States Army. Still serving, she takes care of the military working dogs as a 68T (animal care specialist).

When she’s not caring for pets and leading the team at UrgentVet-Gastonia, she’s a full time mom to 2 human kids, Nasir and AuKenya, as well as Nala and Tuskegee, her fur babies.

As a pastime, she enjoys making dog treats, toys, bandannas and bow ties.
